The
Lorton memorials are to be found in St Cuthbert's Church Lorton, one
plaque for World War 1 and another for World War 2. The World War 1
memorial is in the form of a brass plaque, with oak surround above the
inscribed plaque, mounted on the oak surround are two enamelled flags
(White Ensign and Union Jack) and between them is a wooden shield with
words "PRO REGE ET PATRIA", surrounded by a wreath. The plaque
was manufactured by Messrs. G. Maile & Son Ltd; there are 11 names
listed. The World War 2 memorial is in the form of a brass plaque on
a wooden backboard; two names are listed.

22 years.
