The
Pant and Dowlais
memorial takes the form of a wall in three sections, with the outermost
sections angled, in front of which is a cenotaph bearing carved wreath
and casket with a crown on top; tablets are fixed to the front face
of the memorial bearing the inscriptions. There are 14 names for World
War 1 and 26 for World War 2.

From
an old postcard |
Greater
love hath no man than this.
That a man lay down his life for his friends.
In
grateful memory of the men of this village
who gave their lives in the Great War
1914-1918.
