The
Aberdare war memorial stands the junction of Victoria Square and Cardiff
Road, on an island where the Victoria monument previously stood. It
is in the form of a Cenotaph made from Dalbeattie granite and stands
on a platform base. There are no names. The memorial was unveiled in
1922,
