The monument
is on the left of the road into Mathern from the A48. It takes the
form of a cross standing on an octagonal base, atop a three-step octagonal
plinth. The names are recorded on the octagonal base. There are 10
names from the First World War and 1 from the Second World War. The
names are recorded chronologically around the base. The valediction
is also written around the base.
