The Kelling memorial is to be found on a plot of land at the road
junction of the A149 and The Street, Kelling, North Norfolk. It takes
the form of a base surmounted by step, plinth, tapering shaft and
cross with the inscription on the sides of the plinth and the step
and a crown at the base of the cross. There are eleven names listed
for World War 1 and one for World War 2.

Palestine 19 April 1917. Aged 30. Enlisted Norwich, Norfolk. Son
of William and Sarah Dewing, of The Street, Kelling, Holt. Norfolk.
In the 1891 census he was aged 5, born Kelling, a scholar, son of
William and Sarah Dewing, resident The Street, Kelling, Erpingham,
Norfolk. In the 1901 census he was aged 15, born Kelling, an agricultural
labourer, son of William and Sarah Dewing, resident The Street,
Kelling, Erpingham, Norfolk. In the 1911 census he was aged 24,
a Labourer, born Kelling, resident with his widowed mother, Sarah,
at The Street, Kelling, Holt, Norfolk. No known grave. Commemorated
on JERUSALEM MEMORIAL, Israel and Palestine (including Gaza). Panels
