The
memorial is to be found in All Saints Church, Stanhoe, at the back of
the church. It takes the form of a marble tablet with moulded border
and marble surround with a wreath in relief at each top corner of the
tablet; the World War 2 names were added at the base of the tablet.
There are 20 names listed for World War 1 and 2 for World War 2.

in Stanhoe. Son of Mr. James Chestney, of Stanhoe, King's Lynn,
Norfolk. Admitted to Stanhoe & Barwick School, Stanhoe 1893.
IN the 1901 census he was the son of James and Elizabeth Chestney,
aged 11, born Stanhoe, resident Bircham Road, Stanhow, Standhoe,
Docking, Norfolk. Prior to enlisting he was a Railway Porter. Enlisted
1 August 1907 for 12 years. Height 5 feet 4 inches, dark brown hair,
brown eyes, dark complexion. No known grave. Commemorated on Chatham
