Sub-Lieutanant, H.M. Submarine "E16", Royal Navy. Lost in submarine 23rd August 1916. Aged 21. Son of John M. and Amy K. Gibson of Maida Vale, London. Native of Peeblesshire. No known grave. Commemorated on PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hampshire. Panel 11.

Thomas Alexander Grant
Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers. Killed in action at the landing in Gallipoli 27th April 1915 [Memorial states 26th]. Aged 21. Son of the Rev. T. D. and Margaret Julia Miller, of Kirkurd Manse, Dolphinton, Peeblesshire and Inveraven, Bridgend, Perth. A noted Rugby football player. No known grave. Commemorated on HELLES MEMORIAl, Turkey. Panel 84 to 92 or 220 to 222.

Lieutenant, Royal Flying Corps attached from 1st Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers. Shot down over Gheluveld, Belguim, 13th July 1917, died in German hands. Aged 21. Son of the Rev. Thomas Duncan Miller, M.A., and Margaret Julia Grant Miller, of Inveraven, Bridgend, Perth. Commemorated on Hollebosch German Cemetery Memorial 19, HARLEBEKE NEW BRITISH CEMETERY, Harelbeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
