Lowestoft 1 March 1887. Engineman in the Royal Naval Reserve on
HMS Halcyon and HM Drifter Fearless II, his service number was 2287ES
(Ch). He was killed or died by means other than disease, accident
or enemy action on 17 April 1919 and was buried in Grave reference
Sec. 14. 364 at North Lowestoft Cemetery, Beccles Road, Lowestoft,
Suffolk. He was the son of Alfred & Emily Jackson and his next
of kin was his wife Rosetta Mary Jackson, living 313 or 267 Raglan
Street, Lowestoft.

Born 10 February 1878 in Ipswich, Suffolk. Son of Mrs. Keeble (formerly
Jarvis), of Wickham Market, Suffolk; husband of Mildred Jarvis,
of 5, St. Anns Terrace, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft. In the 1911 census
he was unmarried, aged 33, born Ipswich, resident aboard H.M.S.
"Sphinx". No known grave. Commemorated on CHATHAM NAVAL
MEORIAL, Kent. Panel 21.

Note:
Shortly before midnight on 9 July 1917 at Scapa Flow, Vanguard
suffered a series of magazine explosions. She sank almost instantly,
with the loss of 843 of the 845 men aboard. As a war grave, the
wreck has been designated as a controlled site under the Protection
of Military Remains Act 1986 and diving on the wreck is generally
forbidden.

off Harwich 27 April 1917 (age 23). Son of Alice and Frederick Jeffery
of Kirkley and grandson of Edward Jeffery, M.D., of Lowestoft. Between
February 1913 to June 1916 he had crewed on the vessel ‘Mana’
as part of scientific expedition to Easter Island. No known grave.

Drifter Datum, his service number was 3246DA (Ch). He was killed
or died as a direct result of enemy action on 26 October 1916, his
body was not recovered for burial. His parents were Frederick and
Eliza Jenkerson living 44, Lovewell Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk. His
name is also on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Panel 19.

killed by a mine on 24 May 1918, his body was not recovered for
burial. He was the son of James and Margaret Jenner of Lowestoft
and his next of kin was his wife Eleanor Jenner, living 46 Stevens
Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk. His name is also on the Chatham Naval
Memorial, Panel 30.
