Roydon
war memorial is to be found on the left outside the main church front
wall of St Remigius Church, High Road, Roydon, Norfolk. It takes the
the form of a smooth worked wheel Cross on square plinth. There are
19 names listed for World War 1 and 3 for World War 2. The memorial
was orginally dedicated and unveiled by Rector, the Reverend H C Frere,
Sunday 3 October 1920, and subsequently rededicated and unveiled 5 September
1948, Mr R S Copeman (Chairman of the Parish Council) unveiling the
memorial and Rector, the Reverend W R J Higgitt, dedicating it. The
names here have been sorted into alphabetical order within conflict.
