various sources old photographs are often uncovered but
the individuals are unidentified and details are very few.
For these photographs it is often difficult to find details.
This page details with old military photographs that have
been sent to me that require identification. As the search

by two women, I believe are my Stephenson realtions. I have
a photo of the lady in the black skirt a bit older but the
features are the same. If it is them I can send you a copy
of my photo to verify it. The names would be Robert Stephenson,
lady on the left Elizabeth Stephenson and Isabella Stephenson
on the right. They lived in the Whickkam, Durham area. I hope

                    17 AFD
17 was an Admiralty Floating Dock which was towed from Iceland
to Sydney in 1944/5 to support The British Pacific Fleet.
The dock had a complement of 32. It was towed as far as Cochin,
India by HM Rescue Tugs Saucy and Lariat, and in Cochin HMRT
Integrity took the place of Saucy and finally arrived in Sydney,
Australia in May 1945. My father was a RN rating on board
the Dock and despite many years of looking, there appears
to be very little information available about this epic voyage.
I would be very grateful if anyone knows anything, no matter
how little if they could get in touch with me.
